CD Enterprise Agile Coach
Currently, Pete is an enterprise agile coach for Cisco as part of Continuous Delivery as a Service, and he would like to take the opportunity to share about the agile journey at Cisco, including the good, bad, and ugly.
He has practiced agile delivery over 20 years via prior management consulting and IT program/project deliveries. Specifically at Cisco over the past 3 years, he has helped leading the agile delivery process change by creating Global Agile Center of Excellence to provide agile/scrum overview, scrum master, product owner, and scaled scrum training to over 1000 internal employees, enabled creation of over 150 agile scrum teams, setup community of practices to promote knowledge sharing and organic adoption, and ultimately leading the charge for an enterprise wide agile transformation by help converting from a predominantly waterfall based delivery practice of 6 to 9 month delivery cycles to over 75% agile delivery practice of all enterprise deliveries based incremental iteration of 2 to 4 weeks development cadence and release on demand of monthly to weekly delivery capabilities. Through this effort, now Cisco has now created that critical momentum to provide faster business outcome capabilities across the enterprise and around the world.
